Breaking Habits

I’ve quit drinking soft drinks, almost cold turkey. I might have a coke or the like if I order pizza or eat out, but this whole let’s drink three or four Cokes a day (12oz or 20oz) had to stop.

It’s been three days since my last soft drink. And I go from being tired to suddenly having energy, but its nothing like the crashes and spikes I had while addicted to carbonated sugar water. The craving is there, but there’s no Coke in the house.

For the caffeine fix, I’ve switched to unsweetened tea.

You know what’s great about tea (at least the tea I’m drinking)? You must heat up the water first. There’s none of this instant gratification where you reach in and crack open another can.

I know there are worse addictions out there, but wish me luck.
