Herding Cats & Burning Soup is hosting the Annual Blog Ahead Challenge. This my first time hearing about and doing it. The goal is to get 31 posts/articles ready for publication by the end of October, before the holidays and other craziness interrupt your schedule.

I’ve taken up this challenge, because it doesn’t say you have to publish something everyday.

Daily blog challenging and the like can be fun, but every time I do them I feel rushed. I’ve learned that (perhaps the hard way) its okay to habitually publish regularly, but writers should focus the depth of what the publish, rather than width. If you get my meaning.

A couple years back I made daily posts/articles for a whole year. Some of that content were gems, most were embarrassingly in need of depth and further editing.

Some of those gems might deserve to be dug up to meet this challenge…
