But I don’t want to remember.
I watched people plummet to their deaths and I don’t want to remember that. It was the darkest side of reality television.
I don’t want to remember how the country changed afterward. Sure, Americans came together but we became more fearful and warlike. Some might argue the War on Terror hasn’t ended yet. And I don’t even want to consider the cost of this war in men, materiel, and the collective American psyche.
And I really don’t feel like comparing the death toll of 9/11 to the COVID-19 death toll here in 2020.
Many thought 9/11 and subsequent war on terror was bad.
But if you live long enough, you’ll see or experience something worse.
That is all.
